Murga Punishment Challenge

Murga punishment is a traditional form of corporal discipline primarily practiced in parts of South Asia, especially in India and Pakistan. The word "murga" means "rooster" in Hindi and Urdu, and the punishment mimics a rooster’s posture. The person being punished squats, loops their arms behind their knees, and holds their ears, often remaining in this position for extended periods. It is usually administered in schools or by elders for minor misbehavior. Though intended as a non-violent deterrent, it is increasingly criticized for being humiliating and physically stressful, with growing calls to ban such practices in educational settings.
